I grew up harmonizing with my sisters and started playing guitar at the age of six. My oldest brother played in a rock and roll band. Thus, there was always music in our home. As a teen I learned the popular music of the 60's but was always drawn to the vocal harmony. I was involved with church choir and also learned to play the 5-string banjo. I continued to be involved in music including some informal groups that played for our own amusement. In the early 90's I joined the Barbershop Harmony Society which played a very large part in my singing education. For the past several years I have been using my knowledge and experience to help those who want to become better singers.
